The C-130 Hercules
The Hercules was developed by the USA to perform tactical transportation roles in the 1950s. It came out as a turbo-engine tactical transport with good short field performance from rough airstrips. According to changing demands many variants of the C-130 were built with little external change of basic design. When the first production C-130A flew on April 7, 1955 it was being exported to more than 60 countries.
