The staple of any rescue kit, the Whitby Safety/Rescue Cutter is incredibly safe to use, even if the user is in distress or moving. The serrated hook shaped blade is almost entirely encased in plastic, leaving only a small portion exposed for cutting, preventing accidental injury and causing further problems.
The brightly coloured handle and carry case are made from strong moulded plastic and vibrant bright colours have been specifically chosen for quick and easy identification of the Safety/Rescue Cutter. The handle features a wide hole, big enough for two fingers to securely grip, even when wet, and the carry case will hold the blade firmly in place until needed. There is a loop for attachment to a buoyancy aid or personal floatation device.
