10 Inch Windsock (Throat Diameter)

The highly visible 10" diameter x 42" long vinyl windsock works well on small airstrips, helipads.
These windsocks are made in the USA to FAA specifications using the highest quality materials available. The throat of the windsocks are triple hemmed using UV resistant, bonded, polyester thread for enhanced durability. All windsocks are fitted with weather resistant #2 brass grommets for easy attachment to the frame. This windsock is fabricated using fluorescent vinyl-coated polyester, which is highly visible and long lasting.
Windsock frame is sold separately.
This windsock will orient itself to a breeze of at least 3 knots (5.6 km/h; 3.5 mph) and will be fully extended by a wind of 15 knots (28 km/h; 17 mph).
Attaching the windsock to the frame
To properly attach a windsock to a windsock frame using rope or cable ties (not supplied), start by threading the rope or cable tie through the top loop of the windsock's attachment point. Then, wrap the rope or cable tie around the frame's rod or tube, leaving a small loop at the end. Pull the rope or cable tie tight to secure it in place, making sure it's not too tight and doesn't constrict the windsock. Finally, trim any excess rope or cable tie and tuck it away to keep it from flapping in the wind.
Make sure the attachment is snug but not too tight, as this can cause damage to the windsock or frame.
