Product description
Own a piece of a Superfortress survivor
Preserve a connection to aviation history with a PlaneTags collectable crafted from the authentic skin of Boeing B-29A Superfortress 44-61975. Now restored and displayed as “Jack’s Hack” at the New England Air Museum, this aircraft survived target duty, a tornado and decades of storage before finding a lasting home.
Created in partnership with the museum, this limited release turns part of the aircraft’s story into a tangible keepsake. Proceeds help support the New England Air Museum’s restoration and education efforts.
From Cold War service to museum preservation
Completed in July 1945, B-29A serial number 44-61975 never saw combat. Instead, it played a distinctive role in Cold War operations with the 582nd Air Resupply Group.
After retirement to Aberdeen Proving Ground, the aircraft was rescued by the Bradley Air Museum, now known as the New England Air Museum. Rebuilt using parts from another B-29 and restored as “Jack’s Hack,” it now stands on display as a testament to the work of preserving historic aircraft.
