Product description

Carry a piece of Pan Am history

Connect with the golden era of international air travel through a PlaneTags Pan Am® Boeing 727 tag made from aircraft N385PA. Crafted by MotoArt from the retired aircraft’s actual fuselage, this limited-edition collectable brings a part of the legendary airline’s story into your hands.

Pan Am’s influence reached far beyond the United States. By linking continents and cultures, it became a pioneer of international aviation and a recognisable symbol of travelling the world. These Boeing 727 PlaneTags preserve a tangible reminder of that legacy.

The journey of N385PA

This Boeing 727-227 first flew on 12 May 1970. It began its airline career with Braniff International Airways as N402BN, then served Northwest Airlines under registration N206US.

On 14 March 1988, the aircraft was delivered to Pan Am as N385PA. It continued flying with the airline until 1991, then remained in boneyard storage wearing its Pan Am colours until 2023. Its fuselage now lives on in these aviation collectables.

Handmade aviation collectables

  • Authentic material: Made from real retired aircraft fuselage, rather than simply stamped metal.
  • Individual character: Each tag retains the colour, thickness and signs of service of the section it was cut from, so identical pieces are rare.
  • Numbered limited edition: Each PlaneTag comes attached to a display card.
  • Carry or display: The durable metal ring is suitable for keys, luggage or an aviation display.

Attach yours to your everyday keys or place it alongside your favourite aviation memorabilia. It is a small piece of an aircraft with a story spanning three airlines and decades of aviation history.

Important Notice – Please Read Carefully

PlaneTags are made from actual retired aircraft fuselage, not merely stamped metal. Because PlaneTags are made from real fuselage, each PlaneTag bears the color, thickness, and wear and tear from the portion of the fuselage from which it was cut and it is therefore rare to create two identical PlaneTags. These variations and imperfections are not product flaws. They are part of the beauty of PlaneTags. As a result, you will not have an option to select the color of your PlaneTag. The images on this website are provided for reference only and should not be used as the sole basis for choosing a particular PlaneTag.

Please Note: Due to limited quantities, combination colors you may receive will vary.
